AfricaFocus Bulletin

Editor's Note
Looking for gifts that are not too expensive, but still attractive,
enjoyable, and perhaps even educational as well? Check out these new
Africa music CDs.
Last year many of you took advantage of AfricaFocus gift
suggestions for books and cds for your gifts or your own enjoyment.
I'm a bit later this year (I was traveling in South Africa and
Zimbabwe with only limited time available for AfricaFocus work),
but I'm now updating AfricaFocus suggestions, focusing today on a
variety of new African music CDs. I've also included last year's
list below, for your convenience.
This Bulletin contains the top 10 selection for 2009 from Afropop, and
some recent albums by a few of my own favorite musicians.
Just click on the links in this issue, and choose whether to go to Amazon.com,
Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.ca.
And if you purchase any of these (or any other item) after entering the
Amazon site from a link on AfricaFocus, AfricaFocus receives a small referral fee at no extra
cost to you. For an even wider selection of music and music
reviews, and to support the invaluable Afropop Worldwide, visit
http://www.afropop.org The top 10 and 25 other "stocking stuffers"
are at http://tinyurl.com/y89up4l
I'll be adding additional pages with more gift suggestions over the
next two weeks, so keep checking back for your last-minute gifts as
well. And if there are cds or books you want to suggest as good
choices, just send me the details at africafocus@igc.org, and I'll
try to add them in promptly. And, of course, if you want to suggest
to a friend or relative a gift you would like to receive, do refer
them to the AfricaFocus Bookshop at
http://www.africafocus.org/books/afbooks.php or
